Umbria Acqua Trail: Narni and Gole del Nera
Start from our bike shop in Rome and catch the train to Narni. Explore the historic town center, including Narni Cathedral, Rocca Albornoziana and the remains of the ancient Augustus Bridge, one of the largest Roman bridges ever built.
From Narni, the cycling route (about 40 km) follows the scenic valley of the Nera River, riding through the spectacular Gole del Nera and the picturesque riverside village of Stifone, famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. Here we stop for a relaxing picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing toward the peaceful Lago di San Liberato.
The tour ends in Orte, where we take the train back to Rome.

Continue to Viterbo and the historic Palazzo dei Papi, passing along the way Etruscan necropolises, waterfalls, and sacred sanctuaries. Return to Rome by train.
