Discover Maremma in all its diversity
We start with the waters: the placid lagoon of Orbetello, Monte Argentario’s sea dominated by the ancient Roman city of Cosa on the Ansedonia promontory, then another lagoon along the WWF Burano Oasis.
Then we explore the hilly land, once overtaken by swamps, now harmoniously covered by olive groves, vineyards, orchards and grain fields. Spend an evening in the ancient village of Capalbio, enjoying a dinner with typical local products. On the next morning, hop back on your bike towards the medieval hamlet of Magliano in Toscana.
An ancient Roman stone-paved path between olive trees will lead us to the Romanesque abbey of San Bruzio. After tasting delicious products from Maremma, we will cycle on roads with little traffic to reach Albinia’s train station, where we will catch a short train ride back to Orbetello.
